In Bakersfield, California in1995, Troy and Stacy Morris started meeting with approximately 35 people on the back porch of their house.  Meetings continued there until they outgrew the space 4 months later.  They then rented a small storefront building on 22nd and F street before moving to an actual church building on Pacheco road which was sold right after they moved,  forcing them to move again.  Next was a move to an old department store near Columbus and Haley, where the church would stay for 8 years.  Soon Lowes building supply company bought the building and NBCC moved right accros the parking lot to a temporary building for the next 2 years.  In March 2008, NBCC held its first service at their newly built worship center at 1800 Height street. The new worship center has a capacity of over 1,000 and numerous classrooms and ministry areas.

        New Beginnings has seen thousands come to Christ, fed hundreds of thousands of people through their food program and regularly been involved in international ministries in Mexico and Africa.
